The FRFG at the COP 15 talks on climate change in Copenhagen

ImageThe FRFG participated at the COP 15 talks on climate change in Copenhagen in December 2009 as a registered observer organization. Due to the tight working schedule, the delegation could only free up the 14th and 15th of December for participation. Accessing the actual venue of the talks, the Bella Center, was unfortunately not possible due to severe mistakes of the UNFCCC secretariat in the registration procedure. A number of NGO representatives that was three times higher than the maximum capacity of the venue had been accepted. This resulted in the queues seen in the news that meandered through the cold for hours. The delegation of the FRFG make use of the time by attending scientific presentations at the civil society conference running parallel to the official talks that focused on different aspects of climate change.
